This 86-page workbook builds on what students learned in Taking Flight Book 2, and students continue to engage with their feathered friends creatively. Each concept is introduced, has a short lesson, and then has a creative reinforcement activity. Taking Flight Book 2 concepts, such as active verbs with direct and indirect objects, transitive passive verbs, articles, object pronouns, and prepositions of time, are reinforced. Taking Flight Book 3 introduces students to suffixes, verb phrases, split verb phrases, tenses, adverbs modifying adjectives and other adverbs, adverbial and adjectival prepositional phrases, conjunctions connecting phrases, compound sentence structure, and homonyms.
